About Realistic Perfection

Anastasia Forde - Founder of Realistic Perfection

My name is Anastasia Forde and I first coined the phrase "realistic perfection" when painting my 3-story, 100+ year-old twin home 20+ years ago in South Jersey. I started on the interior and eventually the exterior with a little help from my brothers. If you own an old home, you may know the struggle of realistic perfection. You must always make the concession of "good enough". Not everything will be square. There may be a huge patched crack on the ceiling and funky looking grooves in the middle of your otherwise beautiful maple wood floors. But, even with these seeming imperfections, I still desired to make my home as beautiful as I could make it. I appreciate the character of an old home so to me the phrase embraces the imperfection of something while still maintaining the drive to make something the best it can be.

As I navigated life as a stay-at-home mother of 4, and later as a business owner with multiple side-hustles, this phrase kept echoing in my mind. It has followed me wherever I go. I am definitely not perfect and many times can't manage to get everything even as good as I could get it, but that is what I always strive for.

I've created this page with you to share what I've learned & discovered along the way in my efforts make my family's life better. I've researched so many products and solutions throughout the years for our home life and our businesses and decided to make this website as my place to share them with you. I hope you enjoy it!
